Use the Accounting Period Maintenance (GDM) program to add and change the period-ending dates for accounting periods and years. See Background for more information.

You should run these programs:
System Options Maintenance (XM) (General Ledger Options) to set the 13th period adjustment only? option.
System Options Maintenance (XM) (Statistics Period Descriptions) to set the periods 1-13 descriptions and abbreviations.
System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to select a date display format for your enterprise, Branch Maintenance (TBM) to select a date display format for your branch, or User Maintenance (UIM) to select a date display format for an individual user.
Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices that you plan to use.
Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.
After you run this program

GL Account Maintenance (GMM) to set up GL organizations and GL accounts.
GL Budget Maintenance (GBM) to add budget information for an organization, account, and year.
Posting Criteria Maintenance (XPC) to set up posting criteria and accounts that programs use to post to the general ledger.
GL Trial Balance (GTB) to print trial balances in detail, summary, or worksheet format for an accounting period.
GL Activity Report (GAR) to print a report that shows debits, credits, net change, current balance, and profit for a period.
GL Period-End Closing (GME) to close an accounting period and print period-end financial statements. For the last period in the accounting year, the program also closes the year.
