Select Alternate Operation Sequences

When you click Chg oper in the Manufacturing Order Maintenance program, you can select an alternate operation sequence for this order.

The program displays Operation Selection and the parent item in the program banner and lists these fields:

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Highlight a line and click Select or double click the line. Click Select again to deselect it.

A check mark indicates the operation is selected for the order; blank indicates the operation is not selected.

Go to a related program

Highlight a line and click Jump. See Jump.

Deselect all operations

Highlight a selected line and click All.

Select all operations

Highlight a line that is not selected and click All.

Return to Manufacturing Order Maintenance

Click OK.

  1. If you made any changes to the operations, the program prompts to recalculate costs. Click Yes if you want to recalculate the standard labor and labor overhead cost with the new operation sequences or click No to retain the original standard costs for this order.

  2. The program then offers an option to recalculate operation start dates using the changed operations.

  3. If you added or removed an outside service operation sequence, the program displays an advisory message. You may need to run Requisition Maintenance (IRM) and/or Release Outside Services and/or PO Maintenance (VOE) to cancel or create orders for a purchased service.
