Break a Planned Order Into Multiple Orders
When you select a planned order and click Break in Planned Order Maintenance, you can program to break a planned order into multiple orders.
Change at least one field:

Select the due date or enter a date shortcut or press Enter and click Cancel to exit. The due date you select must be on the shop calendar. |

Accept the displayed start date, select a different start date, or enter a date shortcut. The start date must be a work date on the shop calendar. If you selected M or K in the Make/Buy/Kit field for this item in the Item Maintenance (IM) program, the calculated start date is: Due date - (Manufacturing LT + Order prep LT + Put-away LT) If you selected B in the Make/Buy/Kit field for this item, the calculated start date is: Due date - (Order prep LT + Intransit LT + Put-away LT). |

Enter a quantity that is less than the original planned order. For example, if the original quantity is 60 and you want three equal order breaks, enter 20. |

Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each order break. Click OK to exit the Break function. See Planned Order Maintenance.
