Road Map: Tool Activity Maintenance

Use the Tool Activity Maintenance (MTA) program to change a tool crib item's active setting and assign a serial number to an unassigned tool. See Background for more information.

Before you run this program the first time

  • Enterprise Item Maintenance (IM) to set up inventory tool crib items for your enterprise. Whse/Bin control? field must be active for order code 4 tool items.

  • Routing Maintenance (RTM) to assign a tool to an operation.

  • Work Center Maintenance (WCM) to create work centers and assign tools.

  • Tool Classification Maintenance (TICC) to add classifications.

  • Tool Classification Type Maintenance (TICT) to add classification types.

  • Tool Crib Maintenance (MTM) to add attributes to Order code 4 tool crib inventory items and associate a tool with a work center.
