Road Map: Routing Maintenance

Use the Routing Maintenance (RTM) program to enter or change the operational routing for an item. See Background for more information.

Before you run this program the first time

You should run these programs:

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to select a date display format for your enterprise, Branch Maintenance (TBM) to select a date display format for your branch, or User Maintenance (UIM) to select a date display format for an individual user.

  • Unit of Measure Codes Maintenance (TUM) to set up unit of measure codes and their rates of conversion.

  • Department Codes Maintenance (TDP) to set up department codes.

  • Labor Rate Codes Maintenance (TLR) to set up labor rate codes.

  • Customer Maintenance (CM) to set up customers.

  • Customer Item Maintenance (CIX) to create a cross-reference from a customer's item number to your item number.

  • Vendor Maintenance (VM) to set up vendors.

  • Enterprise Item Maintenance (IM) to set up items for your enterprise.

  • Branch Item Maintenance (IMB) to set up items for your branch.

  • Tool Crib Maintenance (MTM) to add for details about items defined as tools.

  • Work Center Maintenance (WCM) to set up work center numbers.

  • Standard Operation Maintenance (ROM) to set up standard operations.

  • Configured Product Maintenance (MBM) to enter a bill of material for a configured product and operations for its components.

  • Branch Maintenance (TBM) to set up branches.

  • Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices that you plan to use.

  • Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.

  • Audit Trail Maintenance (XAT) to activate system logging of entries and changes.

After you run this program

You will most likely run these programs:

  • Branch Item Maintenance (IMB) to set the Routing rev lvl field.

  • Requisition Maintenance (IRM) to create and release a requisition for a manufacturing order.

    Consolidate Manufacturing Requisitions (MOCR) to release multiple manufacturing requisitions to create a single manufacturing order.

    OR

    Manufacturing Order Maintenance (MIM) to enter a manufacturing order and optionally obligate and pick components.

You may also run these programs:

  • Routing Listing (RTL) to print a list of routings.

  • Routing Inquiry (RTQ) to display a routing revision level for a parent item.

  • Labor Entry (LLE) to enter labor transactions from time cards or labor tickets.

OR

Labor Import (LEI) to import regular and overtime hours, good pieces, and scrapped parents from an ASCII file.

  • WIP Movement (WIPM) to enter quantities completed, scrap parents or components, and update labor costs.

  • Priority Dispatch Report (MPD) to establish a priority list of manufacturing orders for work centers and print the Priority Dispatch Report.

  • Audit Trails (ATR) to print an audit trail report.
