Add a File Device
The following fields are prompted when you opt to add or change a F File device in Output Device Maintenance (XDM):

Enter the field delimiter. The system does not validate the delimiter. Good delimiter choices are | (pipe character) and ; (semicolon). You should not choose a character that is likely to appear in your data, such as these numeric symbols: [, (, ), -, %,], or these special characters: ), @, #. If you are using this device for export-import programs, leave blank. |
