Display Control Number Activity
Use the Controlled Number Inquiry (SNQ) program to display basic information and inventory-related transaction activity for an item's control number. See Background and Road Map for more information.
Enter the serial or lot control number that you want to display or click the Lookup icon and use the standard lookup options to select the control number from a list.
The program displays information about the controlled item:

Material review board tag number |

The status of the RMA |

The most recent return material authorization number |
Parent item |
The parent item that consumed this lot-serial numbered component |
Service agreement |
The service agreement / warranty number for this serial number |
SA expiration date |
The service agreement expiration date |
Warranty life |
The duration of the warranty in days |
Warranty exp date |
The warranty expiration date |
Max warranty life |
The maximum warranty duration in days |
Max warranty exp date |
The warranty expiration date given the maximum duration |
Shelf life exp |
The date this lot/serial number expires based on its shelf life code (defined in Shelf Life Codes Maintenance) |

The control number of the parent that consumed this component |

Highlight the line and click Order or double click the line. Click OK to return to this program. |
Display the service agreement associated with a transaction |
Highlight the line and click Service. Click OK to return to this program. This button is not available for tool crib items. |
Display or issue a return material authorization |
Highlight the line and click RMA. See Create an RMA for a Control Number. This button is not available for configured products and tool crib items. |
Display control number tracking information for a manufacturing order |
Highlight the line and click Chase. When you click Chase, an item's history is searched from this starting point to its ultimate delivery to the customer. The function is typically used to find the impact of a defective component or sub-assembly. Click OK to return to this program. |
Display the details of the last RMA for the item |
Click Last RMA. Click OK to return to this program. |
Display component serial numbers associated with the displayed parent serial number |
Click Comp link. Click OK to return to this program. |
Change the warranty expiration date |
Click Expiration date. Enter a date no greater than the maximum warranty expiration date and click OK. |
Enter notes or review notes for this control number |
Click Notes. See Enter Notes. |
Specify a different control number |
Click OK. |
Exit the program |
Click Exit. |
When you click Prog opts:
Click the Runtime tab to set runtime options. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries for more information.
Click the Sort tab to set sort order.
Click the Selection tab to select specific records.
Click the Program tab to set this program-specific option:
