Display Manufacturing Statistics

When you click Mfg orders, the Executive Information Summary (EIS) program displays these statistics:

Field Name

Displays

Open mfg order costs

Month/period column: Standard costs for the manufacturing order minus completed costs.

Completed cost = Completed units stocked or rejected (i.e., does not include those in inspection) x the standard manufacturing cost per unit

The standard manufacturing cost per unit is the total of the standard costs for the manufacturing order divided by the quantity ordered. Standard manufacturing costs can be viewed in Manufacturing Order Cost Inquiry.

Actions that update this value:

  • Enter a manufacturing order with Manufacturing Order Maintenance (MIM)

  • Release requisitions with Requisition Maintenance (IRM), Consolidate Manufacturing Requisitions (MOCR), or Order Release Selection (MRR)

  • Create a manufacturing order with Sales Order Maintenance (OE) for an immediate supply item, configured product, or to fulfill customer demand

  • Close the order with Manufacturing Order Maintenance (MIM)

  • Receive into inventory with Receiver Maintenance (IRC) or Receiving and Inspection (IRI)

  • Release a rework order with Rejected Material Disposition (MRB)

Select Open mfg orders and click Detail to display open manufacturing orders. Open manufacturing order costs should match the Net WIP column in the WIP Valuation Inquiry.

Completed units

Month/period column: Total number of units manufactured and received into inventory during the current period

Completed order value

Month/period column: Total cost of manufacturing orders received into inventory during the current period

On time/early orders

Month/period column: Total number of manufacturing orders that were completed on time or early during the current period; on time or early is calculated:

Date completed  - Due date

Late orders

Month/period column: Total number of manufacturing orders that were completed late during the current period; late is calculated:

Variance to standard

Month/period column: Total variance between actual and standard costs for manufacturing orders completed during the current period; variance is calculated:

Rejected units

Month/period column: Total number of units rejected during inspection during the current period
