Road Map: Financial Reports Format Maintenance

Use the Financial Reports Format Maintenance (GFM) program to add, change, copy, and delete formats for financial reports. See Background and Financial Report Examples for more information.

You should run these programs:

  • GL Account Maintenance (GMM) to set up GL organizations and GL accounts.

  • GL User Maintenance (GUIM) to add GL users and give them access or restrict them from accessing specific accounts.

  • Audit Trail Maintenance (XAT) to activate system logging of entries and changes.

  • Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices that you plan to use.

  • Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.

After you run this program

You will most likely run these programs in this sequence:

  1. Financial Reports Header Maintenance (GHH) to set up headers for financial reports.

  2. Financial Reports Print (GP) to print financial reports based on the headers, formats, and parameters set up in the Financial Reports Header Maintenance and Financial Reports Format Maintenance programs.

You may also run these programs:

  • Report Group Maintenance (TORM) to set up a group of reports that you print with the Financial Reports Print (GP) program.

  • Financial Reports Format Usage (GXR) to print a list of the GL accounts with all associated Financial Reports and format numbers currently on file.

  • Financial Report Format Listing (GFL) to print a list of financial report formats.

  • GL Trial Balance (GTB) to print trial balances in detail, summary, or worksheet format for any open accounting period.

  • Comparative Analysis Listing (GHL) to print a comparison of actual account balances with the budget amounts for the current period.

  • Audit Trails (ATR) print an audit trail report.
