Change a Financial Report Format

Use the Financial Reports Format Maintenance (GFM) program to add, change, copy, and delete formats for financial reports. See Background, Financial Report Examples, and Road Map for more information.

Note
If you accessed this program from the Financial Reports Header (GHH) program, skip the first 3 steps.

  1. Select the format that you want to change and click Select.

  2. Click Format dtl to make changes to the sequence lines. The program prompts Enter default organization for descriptions.

  3. Enter the GL organization code. The program displays the sequence numbers for the code you enter.

  4. Select the sequence you want to change and click Select.

  5. Enter the correct data. See Add a Financial Report Format for field descriptions.

  6. Choose the appropriate options:

Change a field

Move the cursor to the field and make required changes.

Delete this sequence

Click Delete. See Delete.

Exit without changing this sequence

Click Cancel.

Enter or change notes for the sequence

Click Notes. See Enter or Change Notes.

Accept the data

Click OK.

  1. Choose the appropriate options when you click OK or Cancel:

Add another sequence

Click Add.

Delete the selected sequence

Click Delete. See Delete.

Copy the selected sequence

Click Copy. See Copy.

Display the selected sequence

Click Select.

Print the sequence listing

Click Print. See Print.

Exit this report format

Click Exit.

  1. Choose the appropriate options when you click Exit:

Note
If this format is used, the program displays the message Format is used for report [number]. Are you sure you want to delete it? Click Yes to delete it or No to retain it.

Copy the selected format

Click Copy. See Copy.

Display the selected format

Click Select.

Print the format listing

Click Print. See Print.

Exit the program

Click Exit.
