Road Map: Recurring Journal Maintenance

Use the Recurring Journal Maintenance (GRM) program to add, change, copy, and delete a journal for a transaction that is constant in both monetary amount and frequency, like a monthly lease. See Background for more information.

Before you run this program the first time

You should run these programs:

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to select a date display format for your enterprise, Branch Maintenance (TBM) to select a date display format for your branch, or User Maintenance (UIM) to select a date display format for an individual user.

  • GL Account Maintenance (GMM) to set up GL organizations and account codes.

  • Currency Codes Maintenance (TCU) to enter currency codes and exchange rates.

After you run this program

You will most likely run these programs:

  • Recurring Journal Processing (GRP) to process recurring journals and print the current GL Recurring Journal Register.

  • Recurring Journal Inquiry (GRQ) to display recurring journals and their distribution lines.

  • Recurring Journal Listing (GRL) to print a list of current recurring journals by reference number.
