Maintain Shelf Life Date

Use the Maintain Shelf Life (ISD) program to change the shelf life expiration date for a specified lot or serial number. Shelf life codes are defined in Shelf Life Codes Maintenance (TSLM). The expiration date of a lot or serial number can only be maintained for items with a Shelf life code specified Enterprise Item Maintenance (IM).

  1. Enter the item number or click the Lookup icon and use the standard lookup options to select the item from a list.

The following fields are displayed:

Displays

Control number

The lot or serial numbers on hand with a defined expiration date (i.e., shelf life)

Received

The date the lot/serial number was received to stock

Qty received

The quantity that has been received with Receiver Maintenance

Order no

The order number against which the receipt was made

Type

The type of order that was received

Shelf life exp

The expiration date of this lot or serial number based on its shelf life. Picking this lot/serial number after this date may be restricted based on the shelf life code associated with item.

Click Print. See Print.

Change the expiration date for a lot/serial number

Highlight the line that has the expiration date you want to change. Click Date change and select the new expiration date.

Add or maintain notes for a lot or serial number

Highlight a line and click Select or double-click a line then click Notes. See Enter or Change Notes.

Display the cost audit trail for a lot or serial number

Highlight a line and click Select or double-click a line then click Audit. Click Audit. See Display an Audit Trail. Click OK to return to this program.

Note

Audit trail logging must be activated.

Specify a different item number

Click OK. The program returns to the Item number field.

Exit the program.

Click Exit.
