Road Map: Planned Order Maintenance

Use the Planned Order Maintenance (MOP) program to add or change, break, move, copy, and delete a planned order. See Background for more information.

Before you run this program the first time

You should run these programs:

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Manufacturing Options) to set the MIM consume planned orders? option for your manufacturing branch.

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to select a date display format for your enterprise, Branch Maintenance (TBM) to select a date display format for your branch, or User Maintenance (UIM) to select a date display format for an individual user.

  • Shop Calendar Maintenance (XCM) to set the shop calendar that forms the time basis for all manufacturing order processing and master scheduling, but not for sales, shipping, purchasing, or receiving.

  • Enterprise Item Maintenance (IM) to set up inventory items for your enterprise.

  • Branch Item Maintenance (IMB) to add an inventory item to your branch.

  • Bill of Material Maintenance (MPS) to enter a bill of material for the parent item.

  • Routing Maintenance (RTM) to create a routing for the parent item.

  • Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices that you plan to use.

  • Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.

After you run this program

You will most likely run these programs:

  1. Finished Good Planning (MFP) to create the finished goods plan.

  2. Material Requirement Plan (MRP) to create the material plan and requisitions.

  3. (Optional) Planning Profile Maintenance (MPM) to maintain planned orders and break a planned order into multiple orders.

  4. Order Release Preparation (MPR) to mark planned orders and requisitions for release.

  5. Order Release Selection (MRR) to release orders.
