Control Detail for Crib Tool Items

When you click Detail in the Tool Crib Maintenance (MTM) program, you can display or enter detail for a controlled tool crib item. The program displays these fields:

Field Name	Displays
Br	The code of the branch that stocks this item
Serial number	The serial number of the crib tool item
Wh	The code of the warehouse where this item is stocked
Bin loc	The primary bin location of this item
Status	The tool's status description: I: In stock L: Taken out of inventory M: Morgued U: Issued to a work center

Highlight a line and click Select or double-click a line.

(Optional) Enter data in these fields:

Field Name	Type / Max Length	Action / Description
Tool type	Optional 40 alphanumeric	Enter a description of the crib tool type.
Status	Display only	The tool's serial number status: I: In stock L: Taken out of inventory M: Morgued U: Issued to a work center
Drawing number	Optional 20 alphanumeric	Accept the displayed default from the Eng drawing no field in the item's record in the Branch Item Maintenance (IMB) program or enter a balloon or bubble number of an engineering drawing.
Visual status	Optional 25 alphanumeric	Enter a description of the visual condition of this tool.
Life expectancy	Optional 7 numeric format 99999.99999	Enter the expected number of hours that this tool can be used for its assigned use. This field is active if the field interval type is set to T = Time.
Number of actions	Optional 11 numeric	Enter the expected number of times that this tool can perform its assigned use. This field is active if the field Interval type is set to O = Operation.
Date acquired	Optional 10 date	Accept the displayed date, select a different date, or enter a date shortcut for when the tool was available at your facility.
First date used	Optional 10 date	Accept the displayed date, select a different date, or enter a date shortcut for the first day that the tool was used for an operation.
Warranty expires	Optional 10 date	If warranty tracking is active for this item, accept the displayed date, select a different date, or enter a date shortcut for when the warranty expires.
Last service date	Optional 10 date	Accept the displayed date, select a different date, or enter a date shortcut for the last date the tool was serviced.
Next service date	Optional 10 date	Accept the displayed date, select a different date, or enter a date shortcut for the next date the tool is to be serviced.

The program displays these additional fields:

Field Name	Displays
Date/time stamp	The date and time when tool detail was changed
User ID	The user ID of the person who last modified this tool
Terminal ID	The user's terminal identifier
Remaining life	The percentage of the tool's life expectancy remaining
Consumed life	The amount of the Life expectancy consumed to-date in hours and minutes (updated only if the interval type is time-based)
Consumed actions	The total number of actions performed with this tool to date (updated if the interval type is operation-based)

Choose the appropriate options:

To	Do This
Accept changes and exit the screen	Click OK.
Exit without making changes	Click Cancel.
Apply changes	Click Apply.
Delete a saved record	Click Delete.
Display control number detail	Click Detail. See Display Control Number Activity. Click Exit to return to this program.

Choose the appropriate options when you click OK or Cancel:

Display the selected serial number	Click Select.
Print the serial number listing	Click Print. See Print.
Exit this screen	Click Exit.

Choose the appropriate options when you click Exit:

To	Do This
Accept the data and select another tool number	Click OK. The program prompts Tool number.
Exit without adding tool attributes	Click Cancel.
Update changes	Click Apply.
Delete a saved record	Click Delete.
Go to a related program	Click Jump. See Jump.
Display or enter tool detail for controlled items	Click Detail.
Associate this tool with a work center	Click Work Centers. See Associate a Tool with a Work Center.
Exit the program	Click Exit.
