Enter Control Information

When you display an item and click Detail in the Warranty Tracking Maintenance (WTM) program, these fields display for existing records:

Field Name	Displays
Dtl seq	The sequence number assigned to this control information
Br	The branch that sold this item
Wh	The warehouse from which this item was shipped
Bin loc	The bin location from which this item was shipped
Control number	The serial or lot number for this item
Qty shipped	The quantity of this item covered by this warranty

Select the control number or location that you want to change, click Select, and click Modify.

OR

Click Add to add a new control number or location record and accept the assigned sequence number.

Enter data in these fields:

Field Name	Type / Max Length	Action / Description
Branch	Required 4 alphanumeric	Accept the displayed branch code or select the branch that sold and shipped this item.
Warehouse code	Optional 2 alphanumeric	Accept the displayed warehouse location from which you shipped this item or enter a warehouse location.
Bin location	Optional 8 alphanumeric	Accept the displayed bin location from which you shipped this item or enter a bin location.
Control number	Optional 16 alphanumeric	Accept the displayed serial or lot control number for this item or enter a number.
Qty shipped	Required 11 numeric	Accept the displayed quantity you shipped to this customer or enter a quantity.
Last cost	Optional 14 numeric in the format 999999999.99999	Accept the displayed cost for this item at the time you shipped it or enter a cost.

Choose the appropriate options:

To	Do This
Change a field	Click Modify.
Delete this control information	Click Delete. See Delete. Note You cannot delete a record until it has been saved; use Cancel.
Exit without creating or changing this control information	Click Cancel. For an existing control record, the program prompts Exit without updating? Click Yes to exit without updating the record or click No to retain the changes that you made. For a new control record, the program displays the next Detail seq no. Enter another item or clear the field to exit.
Enter notes for this control information	Click Notes. See Enter Notes.
Change the Detail seq no	Click Change no. This button displays only when you add a new control information record.
Accept the data	Click OK. For a new control record, the program displays the next Detail seq no. Enter another item or clear the field to exit.
Exit and return to the menu	Click Quit.

Choose the appropriate options when you click OK or Cancel:

To	Do This
Add another control information record	Click Add.
Delete the selected record	Click Delete. See Delete.
Copy the selected record	Click Copy. See Copy.
Display the selected record	Click Select.
Display sequences from a specific sequence	Click Restart. The program prompts Detail seq no. Enter the first sequence you want to display or leave the field blank to begin with the first sequence in the file.
Print the control information listing	Click Print. See Print.
Display the previous set of records in the file	Click Page up.
Display the next set of records in the file	Click Page down.
Exit control information	Click Exit. See Change Items Covered.
Exit and return to the menu	Click Quit.
