Enter Notes for an Event

When you click Events in the Warranty Tracking Maintenance (WTM) program, you can select a significant occurrence in the warranty process for which you want to enter notes or data in user fields.

The program displays these fields for existing events:

Field Name

Displays

Event seq

The sequence number assigned to this event

Cd

The code for this event

User

The person who entered this event

Entered

The date when this event was entered

Time ent

The time when this event was entered

  1. Select the code for which you want to enter notes or user fields and click Select.

OR

Click Add if events exist, accept the displayed sequence number, and select an event code.

  1. Click Notes to enter notes for this event. See Enter Notes.

  2. (Optional) Click User to enter data in fields that your company maintains for warranty events. See Enter Data in User or Shadow File Fields.

  3. Choose the appropriate options:

Change a field

Click Modify.

Delete this event code from this warranty

Click Delete. See Delete.

Note
You cannot delete a record until it has been saved; use Cancel.

Exit without entering or changing this event

Click Cancel.

For an existing event, the program prompts Exit without updating? Click Yes to exit without updating the record or click No to retain the changes that you made.

For a new event, the program prompts Event seq no. Enter another event or clear the field to exit.

Enter notes for this event

Click Notes. See Enter Notes.

Enter data in custom fields your company uses

Click User. See Enter Data in User or Shadow File Fields.

This button displays only if you have set up user fields for this program in the User Fields Maintenance (XMO) program.

Change the Event seq no field

Click Change no.

This button displays only for a new event.

Accept the data

Click OK.

For a new event, the program prompts Event seq no. Enter another event or clear the field to exit.

Exit and return to the menu

Click Quit.

Click Add.

Delete the selected event

Click Delete. See Delete.

Copy the selected event

Click Copy. See Copy.

Display the selected event

Click Select.

Display events from a specific sequence

Click Restart. The program prompts for specific data based on your sort options. Enter the data for the first record you want to display or leave blank to begin the display with the first record in the file.

Print the event sequence listing

Click Print. See Print.

Display the previous set of records in the file

Click Page up.

Display the next set of records in the file

Click Page down.

Sort the event listing by sequence

Click Sort options. Click a sort order or click Cancel to end this action.

Exit event mode

Click Exit. See Change Items Covered.

Exit and return to the menu

Click Quit.
