Road Map: Document Message Maintenance

Use the Document Message Maintenance (TRST) program to add or change, copy, and delete text and signatures that you can print on document copies, email messages, and certificates of compliance. See Background for more information.

Before you run this program each time

You should run these programs:

  • (Optional) Document Message Listing (TRSTL) to print the current listing of messages.

Before you run this program the first time

You should run these programs:

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Help and Other Path Options) to set the Base path option.

  • User Maintenance (UIM) to set up user records and enter the Phone no or ext, Fax number, and Email address fields in user's records.

  • Buyer / Planner Codes Maintenance (TNM) to set up buyer codes and enter the Email address, Fax number, and Phone no fields in buyer's records.

  • Sales Rep Maintenance (SM) to enter sales representative records and enter the Phone number 1, Fax number, and Email address fields in rep's records.

  • Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices you plan to use.

  • Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.

After you run this program

You will most likely run these programs:

  • Document Output Parameters Maintenance (TDOC) Document to set output parameters for copies of each type of document you plan to output.

  • Customer Document Profile Maintenance (CDM) to set up document profiles that define how you output documents for customers.

  • Vendor Document Profile Maintenance (VDM) to set up document profiles that define how you output documents for vendors.

  • Branch Document Profile Maintenance (TDM) to set up document profiles that define how you output documents for branches.

  • Packing Slip Print (OPAK) to select a document message code for the Certificate of compliance message Program option.

  • PO Print (VOP) to select a document message code for the Certificate of compliance Program option.

  • Receiver Print (VRP) to select a document message code for the Certificate of compliance Program option.
