Add a Microsoft Excel File
Warning
Results may be unpredictable if you have multiple spreadsheets open during
processing. You can avoid the issue by staying out of Excel while outputting
to a Y device. For long reports, it is advised you output to a more generic
file. See Add a File Device.
The following fields are prompted when you opt to add or change a Y Excel file device in Output Device Maintenance (XDM):

Accept the displayed device name or enter the name of the device in your QICWARE system configuration. |

Enter a description for this device. This description displays to the right of device name when you select an output device in a print program. |

Select 1 Microsoft Excel to output directly to Excel. QANTEL Print Connector must be installed on the PC that uses this device. QANTEL Print Connector launches Excel and transfers the data directly into a spreadsheet. |

Click Auto Test. This function is not available for an Excel file. |
