The displayed device is selected in the Printer field of your user record in the User Maintenance (UIM) program. You can change the device temporarily and only for the current terminal session. When you log off and log on again, the default will be the original device. If you change the device frequently, you should ask your system administrator to change your user record.

Select to prompt Output device when you click Print or leave blank or clear if you do not want to be prompted.

The prompt displays your default output device and allows you to change it.

This field is selected if the Prompt for printer? field is selected in your user record in the User Maintenance (UIM) program. If you change this field, the effect is temporary and for the current terminal session only. When you log off and log on again, the field will be set based on your user record. If you change this field regularly, you should ask your system administrator to change your user record.
