Move a Warehouse/Bin Controlled Item to Another Location

When you select the LWM issue/adjustment type in the Material Issues and Adjustments (IMI) program, you can move a warehouse/bin controlled item to another location.

The program displays these fields:

Field Name	Displays
Requested	The quantity for this issue/adjustment: Negative: Remove from a warehouse/bin location
Selected	The quantity you have selected to move
Remainder	The remaining quantity to be selected; if 0, you have selected the quantity requested
Sel	Selected: This location is selected Blank: It is not selected
Brch	The code of a branch for this item
Control number	For a controlled item, the lot or serial numbers
Wh	The warehouse location
Loc	The bin location
Available	The quantity in inventory in this warehouse/bin location
Selected	The quantity selected for this adjustment
Prev	The quantity previously selected

Click Sel to the left of the warehouse and bin location from which you want to remove the inventory.

Click Sel to the left of a location, click Modify, and enter a quantity that is less than the quantity requested.

Choose the appropriate options:

To	Do This
Display the list in reverse order	Click For/Rev. Click again to display the list in its original order.
Display the previous set of records in the file	Click Page up.
Display the next set of records in the file	Click Page down.
Display control numbers from a specific number	Click Restart. The program prompts Branch, Control number, Warehouse code, and Bin location. Enter the first branch and number you want to display or leave all fields blank to begin the display with the first record in the file.
Display all records or only selected records	Click Selected/All.
Select less than the requested quantity from a lot or location	Click Modify.
Accept the selection and exit	Click Exit.

Enter data in these fields (only some of which display depending on the type of control for the item) to indicate where you want to move the items to:

Field Name	Type / Max Length	Action / Description
Enter starting serial number	Required 16 alphanumeric	Leave blank.
Increment by	Required 3 numeric	Accept the displayed increment.
Enter stocking lot number	Conditional 11 numeric	Leave blank.
Wh/bin location	Required 2 + 8 alphanumeric	Enter the warehouse and bin to which you want to move this item.
Qty in this group	Required 11 numeric	Accept the displayed quantity or enter a different quantity.

At the bottom of the screen the program displays two lines: The first line is the quantity moved from the original location and the second line is the quantity moved to the new location.

The program prompts Line number.

Enter another adjustment or clear the Line number field to exit.
Choose the appropriate options when you leave the field blank:

Enter another adjustment or issue	Click Add.
Print the adjustment listing	Click Print. See Print.
Display adjustment line details and control information	Highlight the line and click Select or double click the line. If the item is controlled, click Detail to see control numbers issued/adjusted. See Display Control Information for an Issue or Adjustment.
Exit lines	Click Exit.

Click Register to print the Inventory Adjustment Register for this batch or choose the appropriate options when you click Exit:

Exit without updating this record	Click Cancel.
Enter notes	Click Notes. See Enter Notes.
Display lines	Click Lines. Note You cannot delete or change adjustment lines.
Print the Inventory Adjustment Register	Click Register. See Print the Inventory Adjustment Register.
Exit this adjustment batch	Click OK.
Exit the program	Click Exit.
