Set Up Item Catalog Numbers

Use the Catalog Item Maintenance (IMK) program to set up, change, and delete catalog numbers for items. See Background and Road Map for more information.

  1. Enter the item number or click the Lookup icon and use the standard lookup options to select the item from a list. The item must be set up in the Enterprise Item Maintenance (IM) program.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Enter a unique catalog number for this item (30 alphanumeric).

  4. Enter data in these fields:

Enter a code that your company can use to associate this catalog number with this item.

Enter a full description for the catalog number.

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Click Modify.

Delete a saved record

Click Delete.

Exit without adding this number

Click Cancel.

Accept the data

Click OK.

  1. Choose the appropriate options when you click OK or Cancel:

Click Add.

Deleted a saved record

Click Delete. See Delete.

Copy the selected number

Click Copy. See Copy.

Display the selected number

Click Select.

Display numbers from a specific catalog number

Click Restart. The program prompts for specific data based on your sort options. Enter the data for the first record you want to display or leave blank to begin the display with the first record in the file.

Print the catalog listing

Click Print. See Print.

Display the previous set of records in the file

Click Page up.

Display the next set of records in the file

Click Page down.

Sort the number listing by reference code, description, or catalog number

Click Sort options. Click a sort order or click Cancel to end this action.

Exit catalog numbers for this item

Click Exit.
