Enter a Rework or Repair Manufacturing Order
Use the Manufacturing Order Maintenance (MIM) program to enter, change or close regular manufacturing and rework and repair orders. See Overview: Rework and Repair Manufacturing Orders, Background and Road Map for more information.
Click NEW or enter NEW or # if you want the system to assign the next available number. Use the Numbering System Setup (XOC) program to set up a manufacturing order number scheme.
OR
Enter a unique identifier for the manufacturing order you want to create. You can do this only if the Allow override? option is selected for Manufacturing Order in Numbering System Setup.
Enter the number of the parent item or click the Lookup icon and use the standard lookup options to select the item from a list.

Accept the Engineering Change Level entered in the Current ECL field of this item's record in the Branch Item Maintenance (IMB) program or enter a different ECL. You cannot change the ECL after you release the order. |

For rework, select F if the due date for this order is a firm or leave blank if you want the planning system to be able to reschedule or cancel the order. For a repair order, leave blank. |
Mgmt priority |

Accept the displayed priority set in the demand order, enter a different priority, or leave blank. You cannot change the priority after you release this order. If you leave blank, the Manufacturing Order Picking Selection (MSS) program displays 999. See Background for more information. |
Inspection? |

Accept the inspection selection or change it as required. For repair orders, the inspection flag is set to N. You can choose to inspect repair orders during the receiving process (i.e., in Receiver Maintenance - IRC). |

Accept the displayed date, select a different date that this order is due to be completed, or enter a date shortcut. The date you select must be on the shop calendar. |

Click OK. The program displays the message Mfg order no [number] has been created.
Click OK.

Click Sel to the left of the operation sequences you want to use for the rework or repair order.
Click Exit to continue.

Click Sel to the left of the components you want to use for this manufacturing order.
OR
Click a component (not Sel) to highlight it, click Modify, and enter the quantity you want to replace if it is less than the manufacturing order quantity.
OR
Click All to select all components for this order.
Click Exit to pick the selected components if they are uncontrolled.

Click a lot control number or location (not Sel) to highlight it, click Modify, and enter the quantity you want to use if it is less than the quantity required.
Click Exit to pick the selected control numbers or from the selected location.
When you click Exit, enter another order or exit the program.
