Confirm Picking for Selected Manufacturing Orders

Use the Manufacturing Order Picking Selection (MSS) program to select manufacturing orders for which you want to obligate components, create shipments, confirm component picking, and print shop paper in one-step. See Background and Road Map for more information.

The program displays these fields for manufacturing orders that are waiting to be obligated, picked, or have shop paper printed:

Select an order

Click on the manufacturing order and click Select or double click the line. A check mark indicates that the line is selected.

Selecting the order obligates components immediately. Clicking Sel again or double clicking the line (i.e., clearing the check mark) reverses obligation.

Review your options for this program

Click Prog opts. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries.

Display the associated demand order for a manufacturing order

Highlight the line and click Demand order. See Display a Summarized Sales Order or Display Components on a Manufacturing Order. Click OK to return to this program.

Display quantities of the parent item for a manufacturing order

Highlight the line and click Inv status. See Display Inventory Status. Click OK to return to this program.

Display the manufacturing order

Highlight the line and click Supply order. See Display Components on a Manufacturing Order. Click OK to return to this program.

Display component requirements

Highlight the line and click Comp avail. See Display Component Requirements. Click OK to return to this program.

Create shipments, confirm picking, and print shop paper for selected manufacturing orders

Click Process orders.

Enter the quantity of component sets to partially obligate and pick

Highlight the line and click Modify. The program prompts for the quantity to process. Enter a quantity less than the quantity open and press Enter. The order is selected.

Rebuild and display the picking selection

Click Refresh.

Exit the program

Click Exit.

If you selected orders and did not click Process orders, the program prompts Process these orders? Click Yes to create shipments, confirm picking, and print shop paper for the selected manufacturing orders or click No to exit the program.
