Uses
The Picking warehouse and Picking bin are used in backflushing by operation sequence. See Overview: Component Backflushing.
The Stocking warehouse and Stocking bin specify where items controlled by location are stocked when using the "stock at last operation" feature (selected by item in Branch Item Maintenance).
The overhead codes selected for each work center determine the labor overhead cost for manufacturing orders. The overhead codes and the Machine lbr cd field determine the machine overhead cost for an unattended operation.
The Standard Cost Rollup (MCR) program uses the overhead codes to calculate the incremental costs if you select the Calc labor and overhead? field in that program.
The Capacity Planning and Priority Dispatch programs use the Mach capacity, Utilization %, Labor cap, Labor util %, and Labor eff % fields to calculate the net capacity of a work center.
Tool Crib Items
Use the Tools button to associate a tool crib item (order code 4) with a work center. The program requires that the work center have Warehouse code and Bin location field entries.
Audit Trail
To activate an audit trail, select one of the files listed below in the Audit Trail Maintenance (XAT) program. The system records all transactions. You can then run the Audit Trails (ATR) program and select that file to print a report of these transactions.
