Enter Good and Scrap Quantities

When you click Movement in WIP Movement (WIPM) or Work Center Operations (WCO), you can report good parent items and report scrapped parent items and components.

The program displays information about the order and selected routing operation:

Operation seq no	The operation sequence number
Sequence number	The system-assigned sequence number for the transaction
Parent item no	The parent item number
Description	The description of the parent item
Work center no	The work center number where this operation is performed
Machine no	The machine number at this work center
Operation cd	The operation code for this operation
Qty ordered	The quantity ordered
Accum good pcs	The quantity of good pieces produced for this operation before you entered Good pieces
Accum scrap pcs	The quantity of scrapped pieces for this operation before you entered Scrap pieces
Remaining pcs	The quantity of units remaining for this operation before you entered Good pieces or Scrap pieces

Choose the appropriate options:

Enter good and scrapped parent quantities	See step 2.
Scrap components	Click Comp scrap. See Scrap or Reject Components.
Return to previous screen	Click OK.
Specify a different manufacturing order	Click Quit. See WIP Movement.

Enter data in these fields:

Field Name	Type / Max Length	Action / Description
Good pieces	Optional 11 numeric	Enter the quantity of usable pieces produced. You can enter a negative quantity to correct a previous entry. However, if you enter a negative quantity and your manufacturing option Backflush components by operation seq? is active, the system does not return previously backflushed components to inventory. A message advises that component picking adjustments may be required.
Scrap pieces	Optional 11 numeric	If the parent item and all its components need to be scrapped, enter the quantity of unusable parent items to be scrapped. To scrap components, leave this field blank. Click Comp scrap. See Scrap or Reject Components.
Trans date	Required 10 date	Accept the displayed transaction date, select another date, or enter a date shortcut.
Employee no	Optional 10 alphanumeric	Enter the number of the employee who performed this work or click the Lookup icon and use the standard lookup options to select the employee from a list.
% complete	Conditional 5 numeric in the format 999.99	Leave blank to have the program calculate the percent complete based this formula: ((Accum good + Accum scrap) / Qty ordered) x 100 or you can enter a percent greater than the calculated percent. For long running operations you may want to enter a larger percentage when the quantity has yet to be completed. To close out the operation with remaining pieces greater than zero, enter 100.00.

If you selected the Select ctrl no for oper seq backflush? option in the System Options Maintenance (XM) program (Manufacturing Options) and a component is lot or serial controlled, the program displays the number or numbers selected.
