Extend the Forecast using a Template

When you click Template in the Forecast Maintenance (MSF) program, you can extend a forecast by periods that you set up in the Forecast Period Maintenance (MST) program.

The program displays the start date and number of days in the next period to be created. If no periods are set up, the next period is based on your login date. The program prompts Forecast qty.

Enter the quantity that you forecast for this period. The program displays the next period.
Enter the quantity forecast for this period or leave blank to stop extending periods.
Choose the appropriate options:

To	Do This
Add another forecast period for this item	Click Add.
Delete the selected forecast period	Click Delete. See Delete.
Change the selected forecast period	Click OK.
Print the forecast period listing	Click Print. See Print an Inquiry.
Include sales in new periods or update Fcst variance	Click Recalculate.
Extend the forecast by period	Click Period. See Extend the Forecast by Periods you Define.
Extend the forecast by month	Click Calendar. See Extend the Forecast by Months.
Extend the forecast by periods defined in the Forecast Period Maintenance (MST) program	Click Template.
Display forecasts from sales representatives, customers, or branches	Click Detail. See Display Forecast Detail. Click Exit to return to this program..
Exit the forecast for this item	Click Exit.

Choose the appropriate options when you click Exit:
