Display Forecast Detail

When you select forecast period and click Detail in the Forecast Maintenance (MSF) program, you can display forecasts that were submitted by branches, customers, or sales reps. You used the Forecast Import (FORC) program to import them or the Forecast Detail Maintenance (MSFD) program to enter them.

If you select a forecast that you entered by any other means, including with Forecast Maintenance, no detail displays.

  1. Select a forecast and click OK. The program displays this information:

The ending date of the forecast period

Forecast entity

The branch, customer, or sales rep that provided this forecast

Sequence number

The sequence number assigned to this forecast quantity

Entity identity

B: Branch
C
: Customer
S
: Sales rep

Forecast quantity

The quantity this branch or sales rep forecast for this period

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Display the selected forecast

Click OK.

Print the forecast detail records

Click Print. See Print an Inquiry.

Exit detail

Click Exit.

Click Add.

Delete the selected forecast period

Click Delete. See Delete.

Change the selected forecast period

Click OK.

Print the forecast period listing

Click Print. See Print an Inquiry.

Include sales in new periods or update Fcst variance

Click Recalculate.

Extend the forecast by period

Click Period. See Extend the Forecast by Periods you Define.

Extend the forecast by month

Click Calendar. See Extend the Forecast by Months.

Extend the forecast by periods defined in the Forecast Period Maintenance (MST) program

Click Template. See Extend the Forecast using a Template.

Display forecasts from sales representatives, customers, or branches

Click Detail.

Exit the forecast for this item

Click Exit.

  1. Choose the appropriate options when you click Exit:
