Road Map: Rejection Codes Maintenance

Use the Rejection Codes Maintenance (TMRB) program to add, change, copy, and delete codes that you can assign during inspection to explain the reason for rejecting an item.

Before you run this program each time

You should run these programs in this sequence: None required

Before you run this program the first time

You should run these programs:

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Purchasing Options) to select the Material review board active? option.

  • Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices you plan to use.

  • Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.

After you run this program

You will most likely run these programs in this sequence:

  1. Receiver Maintenance (IRC) to receive a purchase order, manufacturing order, transfer, and RMA.

  2. Receiving and Inspection (IRI) to enter inspection results for items that require inspection.

You may also run these programs:

  • WIP Movement (WIPM) to enter good pieces completed and reject controlled components for operations on a manufacturing order.

    OR

    Labor Entry (LLE) program to enter hours worked on a manufacturing order, enter an unattended operation, enter indirect labor, and record sick, vacation, and holiday time.

  • Rejected Item Inquiry (VBI) to display rejected items.

  • Rejected Material Listing (MRBL) to print a list of items rejected with the Receiving and Inspection (IRI) program.

OR

MRB Detail Listing (MRBDL) to print a list of items rejected with the Receiving and Inspection (IRI) program that includes the option to sort by disposition date.
