Adjust On-Hand Quantities

When you select the ADJ issue/adjustment type in the Material Issues and Adjustments (IMI) program, you can add to or remove from inventory.

Add a Controlled Item

  1. Enter data in these fields (only some of which display depending on the type of control for the item) to add to inventory:

Accept the displayed warehouse or enter a different warehouse where this item is to be stored.

The displayed default is from the Primary whse field in the item's record in the Branch Item Maintenance (IMB) program.

Enter bin location

Accept the displayed bin location or enter a different bin where this item is to be stored.

The displayed default is from the Primary bin loc field in the item's record in the Branch Item Maintenance (IMB) program.

  1. Click OK. Go to step 3.

Remove a Controlled Item

If the item is controlled, the program displays these fields:

The warehouse location

The bin location

Available

The quantity in inventory in this lot or warehouse/bin location; 1 for serial number

Selected

The quantity selected to be removed

Prev

The quantity previously selected

  1. Click Sel to the left of the serial number, lot, or warehouse/bin location that you want to remove. Click Exit.

OR

Click Sel to the left of a lot or location, click Modify, and enter a quantity that is less than the quantity requested. Click Exit.

OR

Choose the appropriate options:

Display all records or only selected records

Click Selected/All.

Select less than the requested quantity from a lot or location

Click Modify.

Enter a range of serial numbers to remove

Click Range.

Beginning serial no

Enter the beginning serial number in the range.

Ending serial no

Enter the last serial number in the range.

Qty to process

Enter the quantity to remove.

Click Remove ser to remove the entered range or click Cancel to abandon the adjustment.

Accept the selection and exit

Click Exit.

If you click Exit and the selection quantity is not equal to the request quantity, the program prompts You have over/under selected. Exit and change the line quantity? Click Yes to exit and modify the Qty issued/adj quantity or click No to change serial number selection.

The program displays issues and adjustments at the bottom of the screen. The display includes the line number, branch, item number and description, quantity issued/adjusted, and the new on-hand quantity after the adjustment.

The program prompts Line number.

  1. Enter another adjustment or clear the Line number field to exit.

  2. Choose the appropriate options when you leave the field blank:

Print the adjustment listing

Click Print. See Print.

Display adjustment line details and control information

Highlight the line and click Select or double click the line. If the item is controlled, click Detail to see control numbers issued/adjusted. See Display Control Information for an Issue or Adjustment.

Exit add mode

Click Exit.

  1. Click Register to print the Inventory Adjustment Register for this batch or choose the appropriate options when you click Exit:

Click Delete. See Delete.

Exit without updating this record

Click Cancel.

Enter notes

Click Notes. See Enter Notes.

Display lines

Click Lines.

Note
You cannot delete or change adjustment lines.

Print the Inventory Adjustment Register

Click Register. See Print the Inventory Adjustment Register.

Exit this adjustment batch

Click OK.

Exit the program

Click Exit.
