Add a Country Code

Use the Country Codes Maintenance (TCC) program to add or change, copy, and delete country codes that users can select when they enter an address for a branch, customer, vendor, or employee. See Background and Road Map for more information.

The program displays these fields for existing country codes:

Field Name	Displays
Cd	The code for this country
Name	The name of the country
St lbl	The label for a state or province in this country
PC	The label for postal code used in this country
Addr validation	Selected if address validation is active for this country
Tax interface	Selected if sales tax on orders for this country is supported by the sales tax interface
Alternate code	The country's ISO standard Alpha-3 code

Choose the appropriate options:

To	Do This
Add a country code	Click Add. See step 2.
Delete a country code	Highlight the country code and click Delete. See Delete.
Copy a country code	Highlight the country code and click Copy. See Copy.
Display a country code	Highlight the country code and click Select or double click the line. See step 2.
Print the country code listing	Click Print. See Print.
Exit the program	Click Exit.

Enter or change data in these fields:

Field Name	Type / Max Length	Action / Description
Code	Required 4 alphanumeric	Enter a unique identifier (2 alphanumeric characters recommended; 4 maximum) for the code you want to create. This field cannot be changed after a country code is added.
Name	Required 15 alphanumeric	Enter the name of the country associated with this code. This name displays to the right of the code when the user selects a code in a Country field.
State label	Optional 5 alphanumeric	Enter a label for a state or province for this country. See Background for more information. If you leave blank, no entry is allowed when entering an address.
Postal code label	Optional 4 alphanumeric	Enter a label for the postal code for this country. See Background for more information. If you leave blank, no entry is allowed when entering an address.
Address validation supported?	Conditional	Select if address validation is active and address checking for this country is supported by the package.
Tax interface supported?	Conditional	Select if the sales tax interface is active and tax calculations for this country are supported.
Alternate ISO std code	Conditional 3 alphanumeric	Enter the country's ISO standard Alpha-3 code if address validation is active and the validation package uses a 3-character country code.

Choose the appropriate options:

Accept the data	Click OK. See step 1.
Exit without making changes	Click Cancel.
Update the program record	Click Apply.
Enter notes for this country code	Click Notes. See Enter Notes.
Return to the menu	Click Exit.
