Add a Branch Group

Use the Branch Groups Maintenance (TGM) program to add, change, copy, and delete branch groups. See Background and Road Map for more information.

  1. Click Add if branch groups exist. The program prompts Branch group.

  2. Enter a unique identifier (8 alphanumeric characters maximum) for the branch group you want to create.

Enter a description for this branch group. This description displays to the right of the code when the user selects a code in a Branch or Branch grp field.

Planning group?

Optional

Select if this branch group is a planning group or leave blank if it is not.

You must select this field if you want to select this group as a supply or demand group for a manufacturing branch in the Branch Maintenance (TBM) program.

Enter the codes for branches in this group or enter ?, press F10, and use the standard lookup options to select the branch from a list.

Note
If you selected Planning group?, you cannot enter more than one manufacturing branch in this group.

Be sure to include the PO DS branch in the inventory group you will assign to the AP clerk who enter invoices for drop shipments.

Enter the codes for branches in this group.

  1. Press F10 when you complete branch entry.

  2. Choose the appropriate options:

Click OK. The program prompts Branch Group. Enter another group or leave blank to exit.

Exit without creating this group

Click Cancel.

Update the program record

Click Apply.

Display additional fields

Click Other info.

Note
You cannot delete a record until it has been saved; use Cancel.

  1. Choose the appropriate options when you click OK or Cancel:

Click Add.

Delete the selected branch group

Click Delete. See Delete.

Copy the selected branch group

Click Copy. See Copy.

Display the selected branch group

Click Select.

Display branch groups from a specific group

Click Restart. The program prompts Branch group. Enter the first branch group you want to display or leave blank to begin with the first group in the file.

Print the branch group listing

Click Print. See Print.

Display the previous set of records in the file

Click Page up.

Display the next set of records in the file

Click Page down.

Exit the program

Click Exit.
