Sales Orders and RMAs

Several miscellaneous charge codes can be associated with a sales order. A miscellaneous charge code can be defined as a fixed or calculated amount, either positive or negative. The calculation can be based on the order or shipment and on the dollar value or weight (including or excluding packaging) to enable a volume discount to be calculated for the order based on the order total.  Up to ten levels can be established for each code defined so that the miscellaneous charge amount is based on the size of the order.

You can specify that a charge be applied only internet orders (i.e., a negative amount or percent to give a discount for orders entered via the web).

Miscellaneous charge codes and amounts can be changed in Sales Order Maintenance (OE). Amounts added in order maintenance are carried over to the first shipment. Shipment creation moves all miscellaneous charge amounts not already on a shipment to the new shipment.

The RMA Maintenance (RMA) program allows miscellaneous charges to be maintained on a new RMA.

Freight Codes

Freight Codes Maintenance (TFP) enables you to associate miscellaneous charges with freight codes. The charges can be fixed or calculated and be for positive or negative values. If you select a Misc charge code in Freight Codes Maintenance (TFP), the value associated with the code is displayed. Fixed amounts can be overridden by entering an amount in the Misc charge override field.

Special Packaging Codes

Special Packaging Codes Maintenance (TSPM) enables you to account for extra weight due to special packaging (i.e., additional crating, pallets, etc.) as a percentage of an item's weight.
