Move Inventory to MRB

Use the Move Inventory to MRB (IMRB) program to reduce on-hand stock by a specified quantity and assign it to an MRB tag for processing by the Rejected Material Disposition (MRB) program.

  1. Enter the number of the item whose stock you want to remove from on hand inventory or click the Lookup icon and use the standard lookup options to select the item from a list.

    These fields are displayed for information:

    • The item's serial/lot control flag

    • The item's warehouse/bin control flag

    • Quantities of the item that are on hand, in floor stock and in MRB

  2. Enter data in these fields:

Select the reason the stock is being removed. The table of reason codes is maintained in Rejection Codes Maintenance (TMRB).

MRB tag no

Enter a unique MRB tag number to document the stock removal. It is recommended that special characters (e.g., ?, #, &, +, |, <, >, *, :, /, \, [,  ]) not be used.

Note
If system options do not allow for override of the MRB tab number, this field is disabled and new tag number is automatically assigned based on criteria established in Numbering System Setup (XOC).

Qty to move

Required

Enter the quantity to remove from stock. The field defaults to 1 if left blank.

If goods to be rejected are from a single lot and/or location, you can enter the following fields and move to Step 3. Alternatively, you can use the Sel ctrl dtl button to select the control numbers and/or warehouse and bin locations (required to associate multiple lots/locations with a tag). See Select Control Numbers.

Control number

The system assigns the next available Material Issues and Adjustments (IMI) batch number based on criteria established in Batch Number Setup (XBC).

Reference

Enter a reference or comment about the transaction. If you leave it blank, the generic moved to MRB is displayed as the reference (by the Material History Inquiry, for example).
