Display Work in Process Information

Use the WIP Order Inquiry (WIQ) program to display the quantity and hours remaining for each operation of a manufacturing order. See Road Map for work flow.

If you accessed this program from another program, skip step 1.

  1. Enter a manufacturing order number or click the Lookup icon and use the standard lookup options to select the order from a list.

The program displays these fields for the manufacturing order:

Mfg order no

The manufacturing order number that you entered or selected followed by its status:

Complete

The order quantity has been received into on-hand inventory

Closed by user

User clicked Close order in the Manufacturing Maintenance (MIM) program

Closed by rcv

Received less than quantity ordered and clicked Close order? in the Receiver Maintenance (IRC) program

In picking

Some components have been picked

Open

No components have been picked

Partial

Some have been received into on-hand inventory

Printed

Shop paper has been printed or queued for printing

Pending close

Order has not been received to stock with the Receiving and Inspection (IRI) program

Parent item no

The parent item number ordered

Description

The description of the parent item

ECL

The Engineering Change Level for this manufacturing order

RRL

The Routing Revision Level for this order

Customer reference

The customer's name, if this item is manufactured primarily for a single customer

Qty ordered

The quantity to be manufactured for this order

Qty scrapped

The quantity that has been scrapped

Qty received

The quantity that has been received into inventory

Qty rejected

The quantity of this item rejected during inspection

Qty stocked

The quantity received into inventory in the stocking unit of measure; this quantity can differ from the Qty received if some are awaiting inspection

Released

The date the manufacturing order was created

Due

The date this manufacturing order is due

Start

The date that this order was started (i.e., the date work was first reported against the order)

Picked

The date components were picked

Completed

The date that this order was completed

The quantity remaining to be manufactured

The percent of this operation that is complete

Hours remaining

The hours remaining to complete running this operation:

  • For a regular or unattended operation: (Qty remaining x Hours per piece)

  • For a batch operation: ((Qty remaining x Hours per batch) / Pieces per batch)

Total hours remaining to complete running all operations.

Setup hours remaining

Hours remaining to complete setup for each operation:

  • For a regular or unattended operation: ((Quantity remaining / Standard lot size) x Setup time)

  • For a batch operation: ((Qty remaining / Pieces per batch) x Setup time)

Total hours remaining for to complete setup for all operations.

Accum good

The quantity of good pieces produced for this operation

Accum scrap

The quantity of pieces scrapped at this operation

Click Totals. Click Totals again to redisplay details.

Display the components required and quantities available

Click Component. See Display Component Requirements. Click OK to return to this program.

Display additional information about a routing sequence

Highlight a line and click Detail. See Display WIP Movement or Display Labor for a Manufacturing Order (depending on whether your system is set up to record pieces produced or actual hours worked). If the selected routing sequence is an outside service, see Display the Supply Order. Click OK to return to this program.

Display the receivers for this order

Click Receiver. See Display Receivers for Orders. Click OK to return to this program.

Display notes

Click Notes. See Enter or Change Notes.

Display the routing for this parent item

Highlight a line and click Routing oper. See Display the Routing for an Item. Click OK to return to this program.

Display quality information for a serialized item

Click Repair.

This button displays only if you record quality control information for serialized items. See QC Failure & Repair.

Display component usage for the order

Click Mfg order. See Display Components on a Manufacturing Order. Click OK to return to this program.

Display changes made to this work-in-process record
