Add a Department Code
Use the Department Codes Maintenance (TDP) program to add, change, copy, and delete codes that you can use as criteria for posting transactions to the general ledger. See Background and Road Map for more information.
Click Add if codes exist.
Enter data in these fields:

Select the department type. Select S for sales department or M for manufacturing department. |

Enter a unique identifier (5 alphanumeric characters maximum) for the department number you want to create. |

Enter the name of the department. This name displays to the right of the code when the user selects a code in a Department field. |
Administrator |
Optional |
Select the name of the user to receive email notifications for WIP Movement (WIPM) and Barcode Labor Entry (LRTE) and when tools need to be issued. |

The program prompts Dept type.
Select the type for the next department entry or press |
Exit without adding this department code |
Click Cancel. |
Update the program record |
Click Apply. |
Delete a saved record |
Click Delete. |

Click Select. |
Display departments from a specific type and number |
Click Restart. The program prompts Dept type and Dept number. Enter the first department type and number you want to display or leave blank to begin with the first department type in the file. |
Print the department code listing |
Click Print. See Print. |
Display the previous set of records in the file |
Click Page up. |
Display the next set of records in the file |
Click Page down. |
Exit the program |
Click Exit. |
