Create a Controlled Cycle
Use the Cycle Count Preparation (HCP) program to select items for a physical inventory count by creating a random cycle, a non-random cycle, a controlled cycle, change a controlled cycle, delete a cycle, and print an inventory book or set of tags. See Background and Road Map for more information.
The program displays existing cycles. See Cycles for a description of the columns.
Click Add if cycles exist.
Enter data in these fields:

Set your options:
Click the Runtime tab to set runtime options. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries for more information.
Click the Selection tab to select specific or a range of warehouses, bin locations, items, or planners. For a complete physical inventory, leave all options blank.

Click List
and then Item number to enter
items or click List and then Planner to enter planner codes.

The program ignores any item that is included on another cycle for this
branch.

Select the cycle you created and click Book/Tag. The program directly accesses the options for this program, unless you previously cleared the View this screen each time? Runtime option and clicked Save. If you did so, Click Prog opts to review your options.
Review your options:
Click the Runtime tab to set runtime options. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries for more information.
Click the Sort tab to set sort order.
Click the Selection tab to select specific records.
